Write for us

Mind Blogs is a blog-to-book concept. The first book, Mind Blogs 1.0 was out on October 2, 2010.

This blog gives a ‘behind-the-scenes’ look at Ming Blogs 1.0, the non-fiction book brought out by three Bangalore writers – Christina Daniels, Nirmala Govindarajan and Zahid H Javali.

However, it’s more than that.

It’s also a platform for bloggers to use it like a park to plant their thoughts and ideas and thereby contribute to the blogging community. This blog is owned by nobody. It’s BY the generic blogger. FOR the generic blogger. And OF the generic blogger.

However, we hold the key to moderating everything… blog posts, comments and so on. If you wish to contribute your blog posts, mail us (zahid@writewing.in).

If we like it (it shouldn’t be profane or too offtrack), it will be up on the site with due credit. What’s more, you could send us a link to your blog, and we will be too happy to link it alongwith your byline (a few lines should do). We won’t mind a mugshot of yours, too.

And yes, if we like some of your blog posts, it could go into our next book, Mind Blogs 2.0.

What can you write about? Well, first of all, read the book to get an idea of the style, tone and topic. If you are still not sure, write about anything that you feel strongly about. It could be politics, literature, people,  places, things, emotions, triumph, defeat, sunshine, sorrow… the list is endless… but you get the drift? We are looking for highly opinionated essays or entertaining real-life anecdotes from your life.

Blog now. And you could be a published author soon! And remember, a blogger can contribute several blog posts. However, only one piece could make it to the book if we like it immensely enough. And yes, make sure you give atleast a one-line byline description of you alongwith a mugshot (optional) and links to your blog/s, if any.

Happy reading. And blogging!
